Original Stash Tribute Plaque (773rd Find)

My 773rd find was Original Stash Tribute Plaque outside of Oregon City, Oregon. This is the spot, according to legend, where the world's first geocache was hidden. See video here.

My log:

9:00am

Some people wait until they reach a find number ending with many zeros before they visit this spot. I didn't have the luxury of waiting for a special number: I'd never visited this part of the country before, and am not sure when I would be able to get back, so when I got sent to a trade show in Seattle, I knew this was the time.

It was beautiful weather for visiting the spot where it all began. I took time to savor the moment before dashing back off to the airport in Seattle. Took a few pictures too, but not many because my camera's battery was going dead.

Thanks Dave, and to all the folks at Groundspeak.

Dropped off two geocoins, a red jeep TB, and my own "Vintage Kodak Micro" TB that is part of the PodCacher contest.
